DIRECTIONS TO TRAINING GROUNDS

Millstream Preserve
From Hartford, take Route 2 to Exit 13. Turn left onto Route 66 east toward Willimantic/Hebron. Stay on Route 66 for approx. 9 miles. Millstream Preserve will be on the left.

From Boston, take Mass. Pike to I-84 West (Hartford). Take Exit for I-384 east (Providence). Follow I-384 to end and bear right onto route 6 east (Willimantic). Follow and take right onto Route 66 and follow approx. 7 miles. Millstream will be on the right.

From Providence, Follow Route 6 west until it intersects with Route 66. Take left onto Route 66 and follow for approx. 7 miles. Millstream will be on the right.

Mansfield Dog Training Area
From I-84 east or west, take Exit 68. Proceed east on Route 195 for about 12 miles through UConn campus. Near the 12 mile mark there will be the Mansfield Hollow Restaurant on the left, go left at the traffic light after the restaurant onto Bassettes Bridge Rd. There will be a sign on the opposite side of Route 195 indicating a boat ramp down that road. Proceed about 3 miles to North Windham Rd. Take a right onto North Windham Rd. Proceed less than a mile to the yellow gate. There is a parking lot to the right of the gate.

From Route 6 heading east, go east about 1.5 miles from the end of the highway section of Route 6. At the traffic light for the intersection of Route 203, turn left, proceed to the stop sign and turn left across a small bridge. Take an immediate left after the bridge onto North Windham Rd. Go a short distance to the parking lot which is on the right.

From Route 6 heading west, at the intersection of Route 203 and Route 6 is a traffic light, turn right and proceed as above.

Sugar Brook Field Trial Area
From I-395 north or south, take Exit 89. Proceed west on Route 14, Route 14 West will merge with Route 12 north and then split off. Stay on Route 14 west, Sugar Brook Road will be on your right. There will be a sign on the opposite side of Route 14 indicating the road. Proceed down the gravel road to the parking lot at the end. Sugar Brook Road is @ 4 miles from I-395.

Bristol Fish & Game
From Danbury I-84 east to Waterbury. Take Exit 20 (left exit) to Route 8 north. Take Exit 36 and turn right at bottom of exit. Follow general directions below.

From Hartford I-84 west to Route 72 west. Go straight to the end of the highway. Continue straight and take a right at the second light. West Main St. (Plainville) which is now heading west towards Bristol. Follow for 3-4 miles to intersection of Pine St. and Route 229 (Middle St.). There will be an Aldi Food store on left. Continue straight through intersection for 1.5 miles to Willis St. on left (just past Memorial Blvd School). Take left on Willis and follow to top of hill. Entrance will be on the left.

From Bridgeport Route 8 north to Waterbury. Take Exit 36 and turn right at bottom of exit. Follow general directions below.

From Torrington Route 8 south to Waterbury. Take Exit 36 and turn left at end of exit. Turn left at traffic light. Follow general directions below.

General Starting at traffic light at intersection of Chase River Road and Huntingdon Ave. (Citgo station on right). Go East on Huntingdon Ave. toward Thomaston Ave. (.2 mi). Huntingdon Ave. becomes Homer St. (.3 mi). Homer St. becomes Chase Ave. (.9 mi). Chase Ave. becomes N. Main St. (.1 mi). Turn slight left onto Lakewood Rd. (1.2 mi). Turn left onto CT-69/Wolcott St., continue to follow CT-69 (4.9 mi). Turn right onto Long Swamp Rd. (.9 mi). Turn right onto Beecher Road and continue to dead end (.8 mi).

Hancock Brook Lake
From Hartford I-84 west to Route 72 west. Go straight to the end of the highway. Follow signs for Route 72 rural as it winds its way to the intersection of Route 6 in Terryville/Plymouth. Take a left on Route 6 and follow for 2-3 miles to Todd Hollow Rd. Take a left on Todd Hollow Rd. Follow to the end. Go through the gate and clinic is there.

From New Haven Take I-91 north to 691 west to I-84 west to Route 8 north to Route 6 east. Take Route 6 east for 2 miles to Todd Hollow Rd. in Plymouth. Take right on Todd Hollow Rd. and follow to end at the Hancock gate.

From Mass. Take Route I-91 south to I-84 west and follow the directions from Hartford above.
